Sunset at the North Pole . This is one of the rarest pictures that you will ever see in your life when the moon was closest to the earth . The date the picture was taken Thursday , the 13th of March 2011.
A scene you will probably never get to see in person. So take a moment & enjoy God @ work @ the North Pole . And you also see the sun below the moon , an amazing photo & not easily duplicated. You can see here a 2D-image of the Sun , released by NASA Images . The blue color is a false color , it simply represents the Sun seen @ a given temperature or wave length , in this case 1 million degrees C ( or 1717 A ) . Each temperature allows scientists to focus on different features of the sun.
